Once again we are offering this popular mystery quilt program. This year’s mystery quilt from Border Creek is Sweet 16. The 8 month program begins in November. Two options for fabric kits will be available this year. Debbie Maddy’s, Shibori II or Sweetwater’s Authentic Ect. collection will be available for purchase in 2 sizes, a lap quilt (60” x 72”) or a queen size quilt (84” x 84”).  Skill level is experienced beginner and up. Quilter’s interested in solving this year’s mystery are asked to attend the briefing on Friday, November 3rd at 6:00 pm to receive their first month’s installment of clues. The cost for super sleuths to join in helping to solve this mystery is $30. Stop by the shop to sign up!

Do you love the look of watercolor quilts, but can’t see yourself cutting hundreds of squares? This class is for you! Using strip piecing techniques you can produce stunning watercolor quilts. You will learn and experience working with color values. Students can choose a project from 2 beginning or 2 intermediate style quilts. The first class includes instructor assistance in shopping for fabrics.

The Pad Project makes washable, re-useable maxi pads for girls and women in impoverished areas of Kenya.  These durable and long-lasting maxi pad kits consist of one waterproof base unit, two heavy liners and two light liners.  They are relatively simple to make, and the materials can be purchased at your local fabric store, or even found in your own home.  You can make them on your own or in a group to share the fun!
